Rohtak, Haryana: After a 15-year-old schoolboy was shot dead allegedly by his four friends in Meham town, 40-km from Rohtak in Haryana, enraged family members and relatives blocked vehicular traffic today to protest the killing.
Nitin was shot dead from close range allegedly by his friends following a verbal duel at a religious function on the intervening night of Friday-Saturday, police said.
The teenager was rushed to PGIMS Rohtak where the doctors declared him brought dead.
Infuriated over the killing, Nitin's family members and relatives blocked traffic for an hour by placing his body on National Highway 10 this afternoon, demanding immediate arrest of the killers.
Returning from the cremation ground, they also torched a vehicle and stormed the house of one of the suspected killers.
Police said they had arrested all the accused, adding the exact reason behind the murder was yet to be ascertained.
