Seven drown in well in Vellore

Vellore: Seven persons, including six members of a family, drowned today when their auto rickshaw fell into a 50-feet deep well at a village, about 45 km from Vellore.

Ironically, five of the victims, labourers, along with one child, were proceeding to a nearby place for digging a well when the driver of the auto rickshaw lost control of the vehicle. The driver was also killed in the incident.

One person swam to safety and had been hospitalised.
