So then in such a case how do you slip yourself into it? Take the situation into your hands all you girls out there and make your way towards losing a few kg this Navratri. Also test your willpower and see how keenly you can follow the diet plan that is prescribed for you.

Purvi Mota, a dietician at Talwalkars, Vashi says, "Whenever you want to lose your weight, try doing it in a healthy manner. A healthy weight loss schedule keeps the charm of your face going. Drink a lot of water every day. Try sticking to at least 2-3 litres of it." Besides, Purvi also insist on keeping away from anything that is fried or even something that has loads of preservatives in it. She also mentions how one can lose stamina and energy levels if they go in for an extreme diet like trying to lose anything more than 2 kg in a week. Nowadays one finds even corners in shopping malls that are dedicated specially to diet food. "Go in for jowar flakes or biscuits like Threptin. These biscuits have high levels of protein in them and are found in medical stores specifically," says Purvi.

Purvi enlists a chart, which if followed religiously could surely help you in losing 2 kgs in a week's time. But yes if you are going to follow it don't cheat and try doing it in an absolutely honest manner.

Start with having a glass of lukewarm water early in the morning. Within 30 minutes time have one fruit. After another half an hour, for breakfast you should stick to having one glass of milk and 3 tablespoons of cereals. These could be anything like oats or muesli and one fruit too. At around 11.30, Purvi says you could have 1 glass of coconut water or buttermilk. Choose according to what you would prefer she says. Then again for lunch at around 1.30 pm have one bajra or jowar roti and a bowl of dal, salad and buttermilk.

Then again at 3.30 pm you could consume one cup of green tea and one fist of roasted chana. At 5.30 you could indulge into having one bowl of fruits. At 7 pm, Purvi says have a bowl of bhel with sprouts in it. This bhel should not have any kind of farsan included. It should be made of tomato, cucumber and onions. To end the day in the night at 9 pm have a bowl of vegetable soup. This soup should preferably be homemade. And yes the good news here is if you follow this diet you will be in taking only 10gm of fats in a day.

Fresh fruit or vegetable juices can be had any time in the day. But see to it that you consume these juices as soon as you make them. Also refrain from adding anything extra like sugar or salt to these juices. Just in case you are keen on adding salt then stick to black salt only. Yoga many times might not be a very preferred option for weight loss as your body does not get much flexibility through it.

Fillers like lime water (without sugar), coconut water and buttermilk can be had as and when you wish. Any diet if not combined with some kind of activity will not be very helpful. Purvi says that one must go in for a 45-minute walk every day. This could be done in the morning or evening. Skipping and jogging are a few other options that one could resort too if they are comfortable with it.

If you try sticking to a proper diet regime and keep your body active throughout the day by doing some or the other kind of activity you could surely lose 2 kg in a week's time. Also you will have all eyes on you as you keep rocking on the dance floor with the pretty outfit that you are wearing which initially you only wished you could have worn.
