Harda:
A girl studying in class VIII set herself ablaze after two youths allegedly forced her to accept their 'love-proposal', police said.
She later succumbed to her injuries and a case was registered by the police in this regard.
The incident occurred when the girl along with her sister was returning from the government school and they were stopped en route by two youths identified as Arun Patel and Raju Patel and asked her whether she would accept their proposal or not, Harda Police Station In-charge, BL Dhurve, told PTI.
This shocked the girl to such an extent that after reaching her residence at Shrinagar Colony, first she attempted to damage her nerves and later set herself ablaze by pouring kerosene and later succumbed to her injuries.
After recording statements of the victim's family further probe will be carried out in the matter, police added.
