Six-day-old baby boy found in bushes

Madurai: A six-day-old baby boy was found thrown among bushes at a funeral ground in Theni district,
police said on Monday.

The baby was noticed by local people after they heard his cries from bushes near the funeral ground on Sunday. They immediately called an ambulance and took him to a government
hospital at Theni, 60 kms from Madurai.

Officials said the child was born at the same government hospital on January three, adding, efforts were on to find the mother of the baby.
