Nagpur: Six women doctors from a maternity home in Mahal area in Nagpur were booked by the Police on Saturday for alleged negligence leading to a stillbirth.
Ranjana Harish Nemwale (26) was admitted on Friday evening with advanced stage of pregnancy at Matru Sewa Sangh (MSS) maternity home.
According to the family members, she complained of no movement inside the womb, but doctors decided to wait till morning.
The infant was found to have died inside the womb on Saturday morning.
The family members alleged that doctors were negligent.
Kotwali police here have lodged complaint under section 304 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) against six doctors, but nobody has been arrested yet.
