Nashik:
Six firemen were injured trying to douse fire at a sweet shop in Maharashtra's Nashik this morning.
According to police, some locals raised alarm after seeing smoke coming out from the shop. Fire tenders from Nashik Municipal Corporation were soon rushed to the spot.
The fire completely destroyed goods in the shop, but there were no human casualties.
The injured personnel - Hemant Belgaonkar, Bhima Khode, Ashok Sarode, Pradeep Borse, Vijay Nagpure and Rajendra Bokil - who were in involved in firefighting for almost two hours, have been admitted to the Nashik civil hospital, they said.
According Chief Fire Officer Anil Mahajan, the exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
He suspected that diesel ovens on the second floor used for preparing snacks may have triggered the fire but it's still not clear.
