Six killed in two road mishaps in Nashik

Nashik, Maharashtra: Six persons, including a woman and a minor, were killed in two separate accidents in Chandvad taluka near Nashik, police said on Tuesday.

Four persons were killed when their car collided with a truck near Dugaon on Chandvad-Manmad road on Monday evening.

The mishap occurred when the truck was proceeding from Chandvad to Manmad while the car was coming from the opposite direction.

The deceased were identified as Fakirchand Abad, his son Chetan Abad, Suryabhan Shinde and Yogesh Akkar.

In another accident, a woman and her daughter were killed on Monday when they were knocked down by a car as they were crossing a road at Khadakjamb village in Chandvad tehsil.

The deceased were identified as Kavita Dilip Shilavat, 35 and her 8-year-old daughter Komal, police added.
