Delhi:
A 20-year-old girl was rescued by the Uttar Pradesh police from a brothel on GB road. A joint team of central district Delhi Police and UP police conducted a joint raid at the brothel and rescued the victim.
A senior police officer of central district said the victim was sold by her lover Ajay who is a resident of Lado Sarai area in south Delhi.
"The girl is a native of UP. She was in love with Ajay. A few days ago Ajay brought her to the capital on the pretext of marrying her and sold her at the brothel instead. Her parents had complained to the police and the cops had been tracking his mobile phone. The UP police also tracked the girl's mobile phone to the brothel in the national capital's red-light area," added the police officer.
