The tour programme of UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi, who was scheduled to visit the cloudburst-hit areas of Uttarakhand today, was cancelled due to inclement weather.
The Congress president's programme to visit the calamity affected villages of Uttarakhand has been cancelled in view of bad weather conditions prevailing in the region, state Congress vice president Suryakant Dhasmana said.
Her programme is likely to be rescheduled later, he said.
Gandhi was to visit Uttarkashi and Rudraprayag districts where cloudbursts have claimed at least 80 lives in less than two months.
28 persons were killed in a cloudburst that hit Uttarakhand in August while 52 persons lost their lives in Ukhimath and Jakholi areas of Rudraprayag district last weekend.
