Erode, Tamil Nadu: A 13-year-old student has been admitted to a hospital in Erode following alleged beating by his school headmaster after he accidentally fell on a girl while travelling in a bus to school, police said today.
According to police, the boy - a student of eighth standard at a private school - had accidentally lost balance and fell on a girl student while travelling in a bus to school on Friday.
However, the girl - studying in fifth standard in the same school - reported the incident to her parents, who in turn informed the headmaster.
The headmaster then called the boy to his room and allegedly beat him after which the boy developed severe body pain and was admitted to a hospital on Saturday.
Following the incident, the boy's father lodged a police complaint against the teacher, police said.
