New Delhi: A 22-year-old hotel management student was stabbed to death allegedly by six of his college mates following an argument over a girl, police said on Thursday.

At around 10 pm, Honey had an argument with some students near the institute and returned home.

About an hour later, six students came to his residence and allegedly stabbed him after beating him up, a senior police official said. Honey died on the spot.

When the family and locals came to know about the incident, they went to the accommodation of the students and beat three persons allegedly involved in the incident.

They were caught and handed over to police who arrested them. They were identified as Maninder, Charan Singh and Saurabh Yadav. Three others -- Raju, Narender and Himanshu -- are absconding, the official said.
