Ramanathapuram:
About 40 children of "Undu Uraivida Palli" (boarding and lodging school), run with government subsidy, at Theeyanoor in the district fell ill after taking food tonight, official sources said.
The children complained of diarrhoea and vomitting after taking the food. They were immediately rushed to the hospital and their condition was stable, the sources said.
Officials said the children fell ill after having their dinner along with fish curry, which was made in the morning and served after heating it.
District Collector Arun Roy visited the children at the hospital and instructed doctors to provide proper treatment for them.
