Ahmednagar, Maharashtra:
Over 150 children were thrown out of their school in Maharashtra, even as they were writing their examinations.
Workers from the municipal corporation arrived at Markandeya Vidyamandir in Ahmednagar district on Monday morning and threw out the children.
The school has been leased from the civic body and has an outstanding rent of nearly Rs 17 lakhs. But school authorities claim that the civic body is demanding more than was agreed upon.
The matter is being heard by the Ahmednagar court, but that did not stop the civic body from taking such action.
