"Dhalsingh Devangan lost his cool when he saw his wife Thaneshwari, 32, talking to a middle-aged person in a friendly manner at his house. He took a sharp-edged weapon used for killing chicken, and attacked his wife who succumbed to injuries on the spot," K.M Mishra, in-charge of the local Arjunda police station, told IANS over phone.

Mishra said that the lone eyewitness of the murders was none other than the accused's mother, Kejabai, 55, who is still in a state of shock and has urged the police to hang her son to death for killing her daughter-in-law and her five granddaughters.
The police officer said that Devangan has confessed to his crime.
