Lucknow: Two employees of Rural Development Bank arrested on charges of throwing a woman from the seventh floor of a multi-storied residential building, were today placed under suspension.
"Krishna Kumar Singh and Rakesh Tamta, who were posted at Hardoi and Lucknow branches respectively, have been placed under suspension and a departmental inquiry has been ordered against them," Bank managing director Naval Kishore said.
He said the employees were suspended on the charges of indulging into immoral activities and murder. Singh and Tamta were arrested yesterday for allegedly killing Poonam Tiwari (25) by throwing her from the seventh floor of Kalyan Apartment in Ghazipur area on April 10. The flat was being used to run a sex racket in the name of a massage parlour.
The security guard of the apartment had found her lying in a pool of blood on the rear side of the building. She was rushed to a hospital, where she succumbed to injuries. The MD said general manager K B Lal has been appointed as the inquiry officer to conduct departmental probe against the duo.
