Jalna, Maharashtra:
A sound recordist was killed and three others, including two runners up of eighth edition of Marathi Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, were injured in an accident on the Jalna-Aurangabad road on Friday, police said.
The deceased was identified as sound recordist Uday Dantale while injured were singers- Rahul Saxena, Apoorva Gajjala- and car driver.
Saxena escaped with minor injuries and is undergoing treatment at a hospital in Jalna while Gajjal sustained severe injuries, they said.
She is undergoing treatment at Dhoot hospital in Aurangabad and said to be unconscious, they said.
Resident medical doctor of Dhoot hospital Dr Vinayak Kohli said she is on ventilator and unconscious. She is responding to medical treatment.
The music troupe was on their way to Aurangabad after a programme in Jalna when a truck rammed into their car in the wee hours, they said.
Dantale died on his way to hospital while the others were admitted to a private hospital.
Saxena and Gajjal shot into fame from the eighth edition of Marathi Sa Re Ga Ma Paa. They were the non-Marathi contestants in the show to end up as runners up.
