Villupuram: A first year under graduate student has committed suicide in Tamil Nadu allegedly due to ragging.
The victim, K Sreedhar, a B Com student of a private arts and science college in the Villupuram district, immolated himself following harassment by senior students.
Although he was admitted to the JIPMER hospital in Puducherry, he succumbed to burn injuries.
The police has registered cases against three students under the Tamil Nadu prohibition of ragging act.
