Rourkela, Orissa: A school teacher was detained by police on Tuesday for allegedly molesting a 7-year-old girl student in Orissa's Sundargarh district.
Hemant Kumar Pati (38), a teacher in an English medium school at Pharakhatola in Brahmanitarang area, was detained after the mother of the girl lodged a complaint, Inspector-in-Charge of Brahmanitarang police station S S Pujari said.
Molestation of the girl, a standard-I student, came to light when her mother enquired about sudden change in her behavioural pattern during the last one week, he said.
