Lucknow:
In another shocking story of brutality in Uttar Pradesh, a minor has alleged that she was raped at gunpoint by a guard employed by BSP member of Parliament Jugal Kishore in Lakhimpur Kheri.
The 16-year-old has alleged that she was gagged and then dragged by the accused, a man called Brijesh, into the house of the MP, when she was on her way back home from a wedding function on Saturday night. The MP was not at home when the incident allegedly happened.
The police say they have registered a case on the complaint of the girl's father. "A man has registered an FIR. He told us that a guard abducted his daughter and dragged her into the house of the BSP MP and then raped her. We are investigating this and will take necessary action," said Soumitra Yadav, an Assistant Superintendent of Police.
The girl alleged, "It was around 11.30 pm. Someone came up behind me, put a cloth on my mouth and dragged me to the house of Jugul Kishor. The assailant locked it from inside, beat me and raped me. When I tried to escape, he beat me even more. I lost consciousness. The man who raped me is an employee of BSP MP Jugul Kishore." The teen also said that the man who attacked her threatened her with both a knife and a gun.
The girl's father says the family was returning from the wedding function when they found her missing. "On our way back, we couldn't find the girl anywhere. BSP coordinator Jugul Kishore's house is close by and the man who raped her emerged from there," he alleged, adding that when they rushed into the house, they found his daughter lying unconscious there.
