Inspired by a Bollywood gangster movie, a 19-year-old Delhi boy took to crime and allegedly committed two murders and 40 armed snatchings of valuables and robberies.
Vasu Sharma was arrested from Mayapuri yesterday based on investigations into the murder of a businessman a week back, a senior police official said.
"He watched a Hindi movie which inspired him. Since then Vasu dreamed to become like the Don. He wanted to be known as a dreaded criminal in the locality so that people get terrorised by him. He also used to indulge in petty quarrels and scuffles in the neighborhood," the official said.
He was first arrested in a murder case, but being a juvenile, he came out of custody.
Sharma allegedly murdered Bheem Singh, a businessman, along with his three other associates on July 19.
