Chhatarpur:
Ten people were killed and 16 others injured when the bus they were travelling in landed in a gorge after hitting a tree near Basari village in Chhatarpur district in Madhya Pradesh on Thursday, police said.
The private vehicle was on its way to Chhatarpur from Satna when the mishap occurred.
While eight persons died on the spot two others succumbed to their injuries later, police said, adding the injured persons were admitted to the district hospital in Chhatarpur.
The deceased were identified as Ramdeen Gadaria, 30, Premchand, 25, Rameshwar Dwivedi, 20, Manish, 15, Prabhudayal Patel, 30, Raksha, 14, Ajuddhi Basor, 65, Anubhav Tailang (age not known) and two others who are yet to be identified, police said.
