Thane: Three policemen attached to the Thane District Rural Police were seriously injured as bombs kept in a cupboard in the Dog Squad office fell down and went off this evening, police sources said.
The office is situated on the Wagle Estate police station premises.
The injured policemen were identified as PN Patade, PC Patil and BN Khaire.
They were rushed to the Jupiter Hospital in the city, sources said.
Preliminary reports said it was only an accident. Senior officers have rushed to the spot.
