Agitated communters stage a protest at Badlapur station. (Renin Wilben)
Thane:
Those travelling from Badlapur to CST early on Friday morning had a harrowing time as train services were completely stopped.
This time not due to technical delays, but because of a protest staged by the public against frequent train delays.
Hence, they decided to take matters into their own hands. What began as a minor protest, quickly grew into a full-blown agitation as the crowd grew. Commuters got down on tracks and stopped trains in both direction, raising slogans against the Central Railway (CR) administration over their inability to run trains on time.
