Thane:
A 28-year-old man was arrested for allegedly molesting a woman advocate in Thane, police said today.
According to the complaint filed by the 27-year-old victim from Thane city, the accused, Ajinkya Vilas Bhoir, and she had a friendship for about two years, Kalwa police station API Manjusha Bhosle said.
Last week, the accused, who runs his own business in the city, took her to a resort in Lonavala where he molested her.
He also took the woman's pictures and used them to threaten her and her family with dire consequences.
The woman then complained to police following which they registered an offence against Bhoir under section 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) of IPC and section 66-A of IT Act and arrested him yesterday.
Further investigation was on in the case, police added.
