Thane:
Limca Book of Records confirmed the entry of a Thane-based artist. The 40-feet high and 20-feet wide kurta painting made by Manisha Ogale is finally in the hallowed book of records.
In May 2010, Ogale thought about trying the feat, which took a total of 29 hours and 25 minutes to actually complete.
"I started work on the May 26. I made enquiries about the submission of data for the Limca Book of Records and was told that the last day to submit would be on May 31. I really had little time to complete the work. I was thinking of painting a sari, but due to the time restrictions I opted for kurta painting," added Ogale.
She used cloth which was almost 175 m in length and fabric paints which extended for about 10 m.
