Thane: A 46-year-old woman was allegedly thrashed by three villagers in Thane after she confronted the trio for harassing her daughter, police said today.
The incident took place last evening in Dehere village of Murbad when victim Savita Deshmukh went to talk to the accused-- Sukhdev Chirate, Rajesh Deshmukh and Yogesh Chirate--over alleged harassment of her daughter by them for quite some time, they said.
The accused roughed up the woman, following which she filed a complaint.
The trio has been charged under various Sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). However, no arrests have been made so far, they said.
