Thirty seven injured in Jallikattu event

Dindigul: Thirty seven persons were injured in the 'Jallikattu' (taming the bull) event at Thavasimadai in the district, conducted as part of St Antony's day festival, police said here today.

Of the injured, four were stated to be serious and they were admitted to hospital yesterday, police said.

Nearly 200 bulls from various places including from Madurai, Sivagangai and Allanganallur took part in sport.
