Three police constables were today suspended on the charge of beating and injuring some drummers near here, police said.
Superintendent of Police Sachin Atulkar suspended constables Bhagwan Das, Rajiv Tomar and Bupendra Thakur - posted under the Naxal-affected Kini Police post area- for beating up some drummers on the Holi day.
The constables brought the drummers and asked them to play (dholaks) for the whole day and when these people asked for money, the policemen thrashed them, he said.
After a preliminary inquiry, the SP suspended the constables, he said.
