Jamshedpur:
Three members of a family were murdered by unidentified men at Baridih in Jamshedpur, police said on Wednesday.
The victims have been identified as 55-year-old ex-Tata Steel employee Kamal Chatterjee, his wife and their teenaged daughter Pyali, Deputy Superintendent of Police (City) K N Chowdhry said.
The victims were killed with sharp-edged weapons on Tuesday night, the DSP said.
Police said the exact cause behind the incident was yet to be ascertained as the bodies were recovered from a company quarter.
A team led by the DSP reached the spot and police have pressed sniffer dogs into service to track down the culprits involved in the incident.
