Bareilly:
Three people were killed in a road accident on the Katra-Farrukhabad state highway in neighbouring Shahjahanpur district, police said on Friday.
Suraj Pal (60), his son-in-law Mahendra (35) and a relative Ram Saran (36), who were travelling together on a motorcycle, died on the spot near Kutaiya village under Madanpur police station area on Thursday night after being hit by an unknown vehicle, police said.
Before the police could reach the scene of the accident, the vehicle which hit them had fled, police said.
Efforts are on to trace it back, added police.
