Azamgarh:
Three members of a family were on Tuesday sentenced to seven years imprisonment and a penalty of Rs 3,000 each in a 10-year-old murder case.
Reshami Devi was beaten to death by Marchu and his two sons, Anil and Sanjay, over a petty dispute in Skhulpur village in Tarwan area in February 2002, prosecution sources said in Azamgarh.
An FIR was lodged against the trio after which police filed a chargesheet in the court, they said.
On the basis of evidence, additional district and sessions judge Shailesh Kumar Tiwari held the trio guilty, they said.
