Surat:
At least three people have been killed and six others are injured after a portion of a multi-storeyed building in Surat in Gujarat caved in due to construction work this afternoon.
Police said that due to some repair work on the sixth floor of one of the wings in Kanaiya Palace Apartment, the slab collapsed on to the floor below. Due to the cascading effect, two more floors caved in, resulting in the death of three persons.
About 12 residents were rescued by the fire brigade personnel.
