Seoni: A tiger cub was found dead in the core area of Pench Tiger Reserve (PTR) near Seoni, a forest department official said.
"Our ground duty staffers during patrolling found the carcass of the cub in Karmajhiri range of PTR yesterday," the Reserve field director S Sen said today.
Prima facie it appears that the one-and a-half-year cub had died in a territorial fight as a tiger was seen near body, he said.
Viscera of the cub has been sent to forensic laboratory for test, he added.
