Ahmedabad:
Security has been beefed up at the Sardar Vallabhai Patel (SVP) International Airport, following an alert issued by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs, airport officials said on Monday.
"Visitors entry in the terminal building has been suspended till January end, after the Union Ministry of Home Affairs issued an alert to all the airports across the country including SVP, ahead of Republic Day celebrations," said an airport official.
The visitors coming along with passengers who get into the terminal building by buying entry tickets will no longer be able to do so up till January 31, the official said.
