Tirunelvelli, Tamil Nadu:
A 12-year-old boy has been beheaded in the Tirunelvelli district of Tamil Nadu. According to the police, the boy's head was found in a well and the body nearby.
"The boy was spotted on Sunday evening, so the murder must have taken place in the night," a senior police officer told NDTV.
The boy's parents rear cattle. Recently, they had refused the hand of their daughter to a local and she's scheduled to marry another person later this month. Police sources say they are also investigating whether this issue triggered the crime. However, no arrests have been made yet.
