Agartala:
A record 95 per cent voters exercised their franchise in the Nalchar Assembly by-poll in Tripura's Sipahijala district on Tuesday.
Returning Officer Shankar Chakraborty said that the polling passed off peacefully.
The CPI-M had fielded Tapan Chandra Das and the Congress Dwijendralal Majumder. There were two other candidates.
