Shahdol:
Two labourers were killed and 16 others injured when the truck carrying them swerved off the road and landed in Sone river in the district, police said.
The mishap occurred on Wednesday when the vehicle skidded off the road and fell into the river, killing Lalbai (35) and Jeevan Shah (38) on the spot.
The victims were labourers from Chanta and Navatola villages, they said.
Police said 16 labourers sitting on top of the truck have sustained injuries and are admitted in district hospital.
