Two people were killed and three others injured when their car fell into a pit in Shahabad area, police said in Hardoi.
Pramod (22) and Laxman (50) were killed when the vehicle they were travelling in overturned after hitting an electricity pole on Sunday, police said.
Santram (40), Rameshwar (35) and Vinod Kumar (30) were seriously injured in the accident and were admitted to the district hospital.
