Two persons were sent to jail for allegedly torturing their wives in the steel city on Wednesday.
Police said, Amiya Swain (46) was booked under 498-A of IPC for torturing his wife Dipti Manjari and not providing maintenance to her and her two children.
Dipti who married to Amiya 19 years ago has alleged that her husband assaulted them if they asked for maintenance for food and education.
Bhajaman Behera, an employee of RSP was also booked under a similar section for assaulting his wife Mamata while drunk.
