Udaipur:
A mother allegedly killed her three-year-old son after a scuffle with her husband in Jhadol, Udaipur. Police have arrested the mother, who reportedly has confessed her crime.
The body of Vyakul [the victim] was found in a well in the jungles of Bedanpada village in Jhadol area on Saturday.
According to police, the child's mother went missing from the very day. The father of the victim, Laxman Meena had registered a FIR against his wife Meera earlier on October 23.
Circle officer Mohammad Farukh Khan said that the accused Meera, 22, threw her son in a deserted well where the child drowned on Friday.
Allegedly the couple [parents of the victim] had a dispute on the issue of payment of money to Meera's brother for his marriage.
As per the tribal tradition, husbands give money to his brother-in-law on the occasion of latter's marriage. According to police, Laxman Meena had supposedly refused to pay the money to Meera's brother. Angry with her husband Meera had killed their son.
In another case, in Jodhpur district the police recovered bodies of a woman and her two children from a water pond.
Bhopalgarh police stated that parents of the deceased Indira, suspected the murder of their daughter and their grandchildren.
The bodies of Indira, 26, Ravina, 7, and Vikas, 2, were found in a pond at Nandiya Prabhawati village on Monday morning. Husband of the deceased, Vishana Ram is in the Indian army and was away on duty. Police has informed Ram and other members of the family. The bodies have already been handed over to the family after post mortem, police said.
