Kochi: Union Minister Vayalar Ravi today underwent a hernia surgery at a private hospital in Kochi.
Sources at the Lakeshore hospital where he has been admitted said the surgery was performed on Saturday morning.
He was admitted to the hospital on Friday night following complaints of stomach pain, Dr Philip Augustine, managing director of the hospital, said.
The Minister of Overseas Indian Affairs will remain in the hospital for the next two days.
The surgery was performed by a team led by Dr H Ramesh, Head of Gastro Intestinal surgery.
