Jaipur:
The US president may not be touching down the desert state during his three-day visit to India, but he is set to taste the tech-cookie from Kanpura.
Obama will be apprised on how the use of information technology had benefited Kanpura villagers through video-conference.
District collector of Ajmer Rajesh Yadav told DNA on Monday that officers from National Information Centre (NIC) have begun preparations.
He said that a team of officials and technical experts from the White House had already visited Kanpura in Ajmer district.
"Internet and video-conferencing facility is available in Kanpura as the village is well-connected with optical fibre cables. A team of US officials had visited the village on September 15 to inspect infrastructure facilities," Yadav said.
