Nagpur: Vidarbha region of Maharashtra continues to reel under an intense heat wave.

After recording 46.5 degrees Celsius on Monday, the temperature in Bramhapuri again jumped to 47 degrees Celsius today, making it the hottest place in the region.

Chandrapur and neighbouring Wardha were the second hottest with 46.5 degrees Celsius each.

Nagpur, which recorded 46.3 degree Celsius, was the third hottest place in Vidarbha.

Among other places in the region, Gondia recorded a temperature of 45.1 degree Celsius, while Amravati blistered at 44.6 degree Celsius. Akola also witnessed mercury soaring to 44.1 degree Celsius. Yavatmal recorded a temperature of 43.4 degree Celsius and Washim sizzled at 42 degree Celsius, the Met department said.
