Mumbai: An over 100-year-old water pipeline burst on Monday evening at Bhiwandi in neighbouring Thane district following which an additional 20 per cent water cut has been imposed in Mumbai for the next 24 hours.
The Tansa main pipeline burst at Warpada village in Bhiwandi and the repair work will take at least 24 hours due to which a water cut has been imposed, civic officials said.
