Medininagar, Jharkhand: A 35-year-old widow allegedly poisoned her two minor sons before committing suicide in Jharkhand's Palamu district on Sunday, police said.
Sabita Devi, who had lost her husband six months ago, made her two sons Deepak (3), Satish (5) and daughter Rinky (9) drink poison before consuming it herself in Purendrabigha village in Hussainabad area, police sources said.
While Sabita and Deepak died soon, Satish succumbed in course of treatment at a hospital in Hussainabad where Rinky is still struggling for life.
Sabita reportedly took the step due to poverty.
Police have recovered the bodies and sent them for post-mortem.
