Kanpur: A case regarding molestation and assault of a woman engineer by attendants of a Bihar legislator in Delhi-bound Rajdhani Express was on Wednesday transferred to Mirzapur in Uttar Pradesh, officials said.
One of the accused was arrested and produced before a magistrate while search is on to nab another who is absconding.
Since the train was passing through Mirzapur in Uttar Pradesh at the time of the incident, the case was transferred there and one attendant, Upendra, was produced before a magistrate while a manhunt has been launched to nab the other accused, Vimal, GRP Circle Officer Akhlaf Ahmed said.
The incident occurred in the Patna-New Delhi Rajdhani Express on Tuesday when the engineer, an employee of Wipro company, was allegedly molested by two attendants of the Congress MLC, who was travelling along with her mother and a few relatives.
