Woman Arrested For Creating Ruckus In Judge's Chamber

Meerut: Disgruntled over a court verdict sentencing her brother in a criminal case, a woman created ruckus in the chamber of an additional district and sessions judge and injured a constable who tried to stop her.

Nisha, a resident of Barrakpuri area, was arrested yesterday after she forcibly entered the chamber of the judge and damaged the furniture, AK Rane, SHO, Civil Lines said today.

"The woman forcibly entered the judge's chamber and requested to meet the judge. She wrote her name on a paper. Later, she followed the judge to the rest room."

"She threw the water container, broke a glass kept on the table while hurling abuses at the judge. She also injured a lady constable Anita by throwing a chair at her when the latter tried to stop her," according to the steno of the judge.

Mr. Rane said that Nisha's brother was sentenced to ten years imprisonment along with other convicts a few days back.

Disgruntled by this, she created a ruckus in the judge's chamber.

A case has been registered against her under sections 353, 332, 323, 504, 506, 427 and 307 of IPC, the SHO said.
