Madikeri, Karnataka: It was a bumpy ride without doubt for a young woman who delivered a baby boy in an autorickshaw near Aigoor here.
Eight-month-pregnant, Rajmani, a native of Taltare Shettalli, was travelling in an autorickshaw,on Saturday, when she suddenly developed labour pains, police said.
Her husband, who was driving the autorickshaw, immediately stopped the vehicle and called out for help.
Rajmani gave birth to a boy, weighing 2.5 kg, in the autorickshaw with the assistance of those who rushed in to help her.
The mother and child were treated at the primary health centre at Aigoor and later shifted to their house.
Both are in good health, the sources added.
