Ghaziabad:
A woman delivered a stillborn child after a government hospital in Ghaziabad allegedly refused to admit her as she was not carrying her identity proof.
Sandip, the husband of 26-year-old Rina, said his wife was consulting a gynaecologist at the MMG hospital during her pregnancy.
Last night when Rina went into labour pains and was rushed to the hospital, she was denied admission as they were not carrying an identity proof with them, Sandip, who is employed with an IT company in Noida, claimed.
She was taken to GTB hospital from there in a critical state where she delivered a stillborn baby. Sandeep alleged that the delay in her treatment led to the loss.
Meanwhile, Medical Superintendent of MMG hospital Dr Shushma Chandra condemned the incident and said action will be taken against those who denied her admission.
